説明 山の手事情社は今年、創立35周年を迎えます。稽古方法をご紹介する『methods』と、戯曲作品『過妄女』（原作：チェーホフ）。短期間で演劇のウラとオモテをご覧いただけます。演劇の街・下北沢で芝居三昧のひと時はいかがでしょうか。

■ 山の手事情社は今年、創立35周年
皆さまの温かいご支援により、昨年の「存亡の（危）機」を回避し、何とか創立35周年を迎えることができました。1984年の旗揚げ以来、《構成演劇》に始まり、《集団創作》《ハイパー・コラージュ》《四畳半》といろいろな演劇スタイルに取り組み、その間メンバーもずいぶん入れ替わりました。変わらなかったのはおそらく「演劇を深く貪欲に楽しみたい」という気持ちだけです。演劇の聖地で、また新たなスタートを切ろうと思います。

■ 稽古方法《山の手メソッド》
演技様式の試行錯誤の中で、提案・開発されてきたのが《山の手メソッド》という訓練法です。『methods』では、一般にほとんどなじみのない演劇の稽古法を、お客さまに驚いたり楽しんだりしていただく中でご紹介しようと思います。〈演劇的教養〉とは、自分の「身体」や「社会」や「世界」を映し出す鏡を俳優の中に用意することです。ご覧いただければ、舞台や映像の演技の見方が変わると思います。かつて劇団でともに活動した清水宏氏も出演！

■ チェーホフに初挑戦！
湖畔の田舎屋敷を舞台に、作家志望の青年と、女優を夢見る乙女を軸に、屋敷に集まる人々のさまざまな恋愛模様が描かれます。チェーホフが『かもめ』執筆の際、出版社主宛ての手紙に書いたように「5プード（およそ80キロ）の恋」、すなわちもてあますほどの恋愛が作中に散りばめられています。チェーホフの発見は、人間の行動の根底には「過剰な妄想＝恋愛」が横たわっている、ということではないでしょうか。

■ 下北沢・11時開演
大学卒業後、初めて上演した『ゆるやかなトンビリラロの身だしなみ』（本多劇場）も、現代では上演されていない歌舞伎作品『狭夜衣鴛鴦剣翅［さよごろもおしどりのつるぎば］』（ザ・スズナリ）の復曲に挑んだのも下北沢でした。ほかにもたくさんの思い出が詰まったこの街、数多くの劇場があり、海外フェスのように毎日多彩な作品が上演されるこの場所に帰ってきます。今回、劇団初となる午前11時開演の回を設けます。1日に3本鑑賞も可能。贅沢です！
