説明 第２次世界大戦時、731 部隊における人体実験を含む戦時研究を行った登戸研究所は、資料館として保存され、戦争が引き起こす残酷さと無為さを現在に伝えています。
「Secret War－ひみつせん－」は、登戸研究所をモデルにした研究所を舞台に、映画「ドライブ・マイ・カー」の女性ドライバー役が記憶に新しい三浦透子を主演に迎え、座付き作家詩森ろばが書き下ろす新作です。
新国立劇場のフルオーディション企画「エンゼルス・イン・アメリカ」で数千人の中からジョー役として出演が決定したばかりの坂本慶介、「ザ・ドクター」「マーキュリー・ファー」と大きな舞台が続く宮崎秋人が友情に結ばれつつ戦争の影に押しつぶされていく若き科学者を演じる他、松村武、北浦愛、森下亮、佐野功、ししどともこ等、実力派出演陣が出演。
「All My Sons」で詩森と初タッグを組み、その演技が高く評価され、読売演劇大賞優秀男優賞を受賞した大谷亮介が、物語のカギを握る人物として出演します。

ものがたり
村田琴江（三浦透子）はタイピストとして登沢研究所で働き始めた。そこは、戦争のための研究をする日本軍の施設であった。偽札作り、風船爆弾、一見荒唐無稽な研究者たちの研究は、人体実験を含む細菌兵器にまで及ぶ、それを人は秘密戦と呼んだ。そこで琴江は、細菌や病毒を研究する研究者、市原（坂本慶介）や桑沢（宮崎秋人）たちと儚い関わりを持つ。
56年後、中国北京に暮らす王浩燃（大谷亮介）のところに、科学ライターを名乗る津島遥子（三浦 ２役）が訪ねてくる。
遥子は、登沢研究所について調べていると名乗り、男が第二次世界大戦当時、登沢に勤めていたのではないか、と切り出す。
ふたつの時間軸は交錯しあいながら、登沢研究所でいったい何が行われていたのか、そして、その後、そこに関わっていた人たちはどうやって暮らしていったのか、そして科学と人間の相克を炙りだす。
