| 説明 | 2019年春、佐藤アツヒロと鈴木勝秀の代表作が11年ぶりに甦る！ 「HYMNS」は、鈴木勝秀（スズカツ）による脚本・演出で上演した「LYNX（リンクス）」（1990、98、2004年）、「MYTH（ミス）」（06年）に次ぐ作品で、人間の内面を描いたオリジナル3部作の最後の作品として2008年に上演されました。 2004年の「LYNX」再々演を佐藤アツヒロ主演で上演し、この作品で佐藤と出会ったことによってインスピレーションを得て「MYTH」、2008年の「HYMNS」が誕生しており、スズカツにとっても、佐藤にとっても思い入れの深い作品でもあります。 モノトーンの世界、シンプルな舞台装置、効果的な照明の中でミステリアスな男たちが繰り広げる心理ドラマ「HYMNS」は、見る者の想像力を大いにかき立て、演劇界に衝撃を与えました。2019年版は、5人の男たちの物語としてリライトされ、新演出での上演となります。 主演は、初演に引き続きスズカツの信頼も厚い佐藤アツヒロ。初演において、画家オガワを繊細な心と強い自我をもつ人物として作りあげた佐藤が11年ぶりに同役に挑みます。また佐藤は、スズカツ作品には2009年の『フロスト／ニクソン』以来の出演となり、“スズカツ×アツヒロ”の10年ぶりの再会がどのような化学反応を生むのかにも注目です。 また共演に、一連の作品群の常連ともいえる中山祐一朗、陰山泰、「LYNX LIVE Dub」シリーズにも出演した山岸門人に加え、狂気と正気、悲劇と喜劇を自在に行き来する俳優・新納慎也の出演も決定。5人の癖のある俳優たちの競演も大きな見どころです。 若くして名のある美術展で大賞を受賞するも、今では自己表現として真黒な絵ばかりを描く画家オガワ。そんなオガワと、彼を取り巻く画商、友人、そしてギャンブルで生計を立てる謎の男のやりとりがフラッシュバックのように描かれ、思いもよらない展開を見せる物語。 謎の男とは一体、何者なのか……。 |
