| 説明 | A farce, by Georges Feydeau, directed by Michelle Yamazaki. February 19th to 22nd A FLEA IN HER EAR is the greatest of French bedroom farces, perhaps the greatest farce ever written. Our production transports the action to 1961 Paris! Respectable housewife Raymonde has noticed “certain changes” in her husband, mild-mannered insurance executive Victor Emmanuel, and suspects him of having an affair. To gain proof, she and her best friend Lucienne send an anonymous, perfumed love letter suggesting a rendezvous at the dubious Hotel Coq d’Or in Montretout. In true Feydeau fashion, the plan backfires: Victor Emmanuel thinks the letter is intended for his gigolo friend Tournel and sends Tournel off to make the conquest in his place. Meanwhile, Lucienne's jealous Spanish husband finds the letter, recognizes his wife's handwriting, and dashes to the Coq d’Or, hoping to catch her in the act. Victor Emmanuel's nephew Camille tries to warn everyone about the mix-up, but his ridiculous speech impediment prevents anyone from understanding him. In Act Two, all decamp to the Hotel Coq d’Or, where it seems the drunken (but lovable) bellboy Poche is the exact double of Victor Emmanuel! Raymonde meets Poche, assumes she has been caught by her husband, and tries to escape with Tournel, but a revolving bed flings them from room to room as more and more people pile into the hotel, in a climax culminating with the entrance of the jealous Spaniard and his dueling pistols! Act Three finds the vortex spinning even faster, as everyone returns to the Chandebise home, utterly confused about what actually happened and who was who at the Coq d’Or. Who will clear up the confusion? Will Raymonde and Victor Emmanuel ever be reunited? This delightfully silly bedroom romp contains flirtatious, bawdy humour and is suitable for guests age 12 and up. The impressive cast features Sal Randazzo as Victor Emmanuel and Lizzie Howard as Raymonde alongside TIP veterans Jon Sabay, Laura Moran, Jack Freeman, Wendell T. Harrison, Ann Jenkins, Brian Berdanier, and many others. 東京インターナショナルプレーヤーズ(TIP)、山崎ミッシェル演出のもとジョルジュ・フェイドー作、笑劇の代表作とも言える「パリの秘めごと」をお送りいたします。 時は1961年のフランス・パリ。倦怠期に入ってしまったレイモンドは夫のビクターが浮気をしているのではないかと疑います。浮気の証拠を見つけるべく、親友のルシエンヌと一緒に、夫をホテルへおびき出す手紙を書きます。しかし計画は思ったようにいかず、回転するベッド、複数のドア、さらにビクターと瓜二つのホテル・ボーイにより予想外の展開へと進んでしまいます。 |
