| 説明 | 近未来、架空の国。山と湖に囲まれたリゾートホテル（通称「マウンテンハウス」）は、かつてダムの建設のために沈められた町のなごりを残す名所として、いまや富裕層向けの観光名所と化している。 引退したマラソンランナーのケイ（汐美真帆）には、ダム建設時に立ち退きを強いられた従妹（平松沙理）一家の避難を手伝い、アップステートの実家で共同生活を送った過去があった。辛い記憶となかなか向き合えずに町から足が遠のいていたケイだが、引退し自らの半生を振り返るために久しぶりにマウンテンハウスに戻ってくる。 そこには年月と共に関心が薄れ、閉鎖の危機にある最後の砦をなんとか守ろうとする健気な人々がいた。 彼らの生き様に胸を打たれ、目標を失っていたケイは次第に自分を取り戻してゆく。 そんな折、とあるレースの話がケイに舞い込む。 レースの報酬は、マウンテンハウスを存続させ、いまなお差別に苦しむ町の人々を救うにも十分な額ではあったのだが・・。 勝つか負けるか。レース当日、ケイが下した決断とは・・？ |
